"Who Was Skadi, Really? The Goddess Behind Ravena"

In mythology Skadi is the daughter of the deceased giant Thiassi, who was slain by the gods of Asgard. Skadi is giantess, although some sources treat her more like a goddess, she attains a higher status among the Aesir through marriage, first to Njord and later to Odin himself.
Though sources are mixed for the marriage to Odin, and one I don't believe myself. But for my story it will play a minimal role in later books.
Skadi is the Goddess of Winter, Skiing, Mountain Hunting, and Bowcraft she is a prominent jotunn (giant) but rarely do I see stories of her.

I wanted to think outside the usual characters people wrote and I landed on Skadi. We never really learn who Skadi is/was in my books, we see glimpses of her life before but rarely do we see WHO she actually is or what happened in her life. One glimpse was she was kind, and protective and proves to be deeply supportive to Ravena. Maybe a side novella later down the line into her past will come along. She has a story to be told just as all my characters do.
